| Pidge was born and education in Coal City and attended Coal City schools, and the University of Illinois. From 1967-1970 he owned ad operated Smith Lanes Bowling Alley in Coal City. He wed Cathy Cromer in 1970. From 1971 to 1999 he owned and operated Smith Hardware Do-It Center Ltd. in Coal City. Ted and Cathy have 2 daughters, Elizabeth Johnson and Emily Tira. He has been active in numerous organizations and is recent past chairperson for the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce. He currently services on the Morris Hospital Board. |
