Kim grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and has been a resident of Wilmington for over 25 years. Together Kim and her husband Chuck, a Braidwood native, have three children. Valerie & her husband Jeff, Matt, and Samantha. They are also the proud grandparents of Ava.

Kim has a very diverse work history that includes working at Brookfield Zoo and Midway Airlines, as well as a strong retail background. Kim is currently working in the H.R. Department of the Wal-Mart Super Center in Morris, as the training coordinator, a position she has held for over nine years.
